Tucson Yard Works is a landscaping and lawn care company working in this city and nowhere else. Everything below describes how we actually operate.
What we do
Design, installation and maintenance for residential yards — planting, irrigation, hardscape and the ongoing care that keeps a finished yard from sliding backwards. If a job is outside what we do well, we say so and point you somewhere better.
Where we work
We work across Tucson and the surrounding communities. If you are unsure whether your address is in range, ask — we would rather tell you plainly than send a crew that cannot get to you reliably.
What the Sonoran Desert asks of a yard
Tucson sits in the Sonoran Desert, and that single fact decides most of what works here. Heat load, intense sun and long dry stretches punish anything that was designed for a wetter place. We plan for the conditions the ground actually gets rather than fighting them.
Ground conditions we plan around
Desert ground drains and holds water very differently from the topsoil most people picture. Grading, basin shaping and where water is allowed to run matter more here than in almost any other part of a build, and we set those before anything decorative goes in.
The water rules we work inside
Tucson Water is under a Critical Water Alert, driven by Colorado River constraints, and year-round water-waste rules prohibit daytime sprinkler runoff onto streets and sidewalks. We design and set irrigation so a yard stays inside those rules by default rather than depending on someone remembering.

How we quote
Estimates are free and written. We look at the property, tell you what it needs and what it does not, and put a number against it. If a cheaper approach would get you most of the result, we will tell you that too — a quote you understand is worth more to us than a quote you accept once.
How we work with you
One point of contact, plain language, and a schedule we actually hold to. If something slips we tell you before you notice, not after.
What we will turn down
Some jobs are not a good fit — wrong season for the work, a scope better served by a specialist, or a request that will not survive this climate no matter who installs it. We would rather lose the job than take money for something we expect to fail.
What ongoing care covers
Maintenance is not just mowing. It is irrigation checked before it wastes water, beds kept ahead of weeds instead of rescued from them, and problems flagged while they are still small. A yard that is maintained properly costs less over a few seasons than one repaired twice.
